Nepal Earthquake. Temporary learning centers

In the VDC (Village Development Committee) of Yarsa and Saramthali ASIA built 48 temporary learning centers in order to restart the educational activities in 18 schools destroyed by the earthquake.  These centers have been realized with its own funds and in partnership with GVC and with Regione Emilia Romagna.

In the same area, together with the Association Namastè Onore a te Onlus built other 10 temporary learning centers.

In this way 2,345 children were able to resume their education and find again part of the daily life lost with the earthquake.

Under this project ASIA distributed school supplies (desks, chairs, rulers) and three types of kits provided by UNICEF (recreational and educational kits for preschoolers). ASIA built also toilets for schools.

Furthermore, ASIA provided psychological support to the children attending the temporary learning centers.
