A Nomad’s Life in Tibet – a virtual photo exhibition

12 December – 12 January

The nomadic shepherds of Tibet developed a sustainable lifestyle over centuries in total harmony with the delicate ecosystem of the Tibetan plateau. Today, however, the nomadic tradition is slowly disappearing for cultural, political and climatic reasons, in favour of sedentarisation and urbanisation.

🗻In January 2020, thanks to funds from Provincia autonoma di Bolzano, we launched a project aimed at ensuring the economic and food self-sufficiency of the most disadvantaged nomadic communities, improving the management of pastoral resources and increasing the productivity of herds in the Domda district (Qinghai, China).

Join our not only in tibet campaign

The Tibetan population is risking more and more everyday to lose their own identity, language and culture. It is important to support the Tibetan communities who live in exile, in remote areas and in very difficult conditions in safeguarding their millenial tradition and spirituality.

Tibetan refugee settlement in India are experiencing more and more hardship as a result of the continuing waves of covid19 and the resulting closures. Tibetan refugees in Nepal also live in the harshest and precarious conditions. They are more than 20 thousand and they have never received an identity document from the government.
