CONTEXT
Following the 2015 earthquake, the spring used by the Phakel monastery suddenly dried up, probably due to hydrogeological disruption caused by the strong tremors, leaving the monks in a precarious hygiene situation. ASIA carried out a feasibility study in 2022, and having obtained the necessary funds to carry out the project, activities began in winter 2023.

Access to adequate drinking water to the local resident monks in Phakel of Makwanpur District
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES/OUTCOME
• To supply drinking water to 25 Households and improve their knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices.
• To teach beneficiaries on off seasonal vegetable production technology.
