15 May MotoForPeace: from Europe to Mongolia by motorcycle, in support of ASIA
In June 2026, a group of riders from MotoForPeace — an Italian non-profit association made up of members of Italian and European police forces — will leave Europe and travel to Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, covering more than 11,500 kilometers across Turkey, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia. A journey of around 45 days that brings together adventure, cultural exchange, and concrete solidarity.
This mission is much more than a motorcycle expedition: it is a gesture of support and closeness to the local communities ASIA has been working with for many years. Along the route, the riders will carry a message of peace, meeting civil and military authorities in the countries they cross and documenting the journey to give visibility to the people and realities encountered on the road.
The connection between MotoForPeace and ASIA has deep roots. MotoForPeace has already carried out two motorcycle missions in support of ASIA’s projects: in 2002, to support a Tibetan traditional medicine clinic in Dongche, a village in the Amdo Tibetan region, and in 2014, to donate 10 emergency-response motorcycles to doctors in Nepal’s Kavre district, helping them reach patients in some of the country’s most remote villages.
In Ulaanbaatar, the riders will visit public schools in the city’s peripheral districts where ASIA is implementing two educational projects: Chemistry for All and Eco School. Funds raised through the mission will directly support these initiatives.
ASIA has been working in Mongolia since 2016, alongside nomadic and rural communities facing increasingly difficult climate conditions. The work carried out in schools is part of a broader commitment to sustainability, food security, and the strengthening of traditional ways of life.
MotoForPeace is a non-profit association founded by members of the Italian State Police and, since 2009, also involving members of the Carabinieri. Its mission is to promote knowledge and understanding among different cultures, encouraging peaceful coexistence and harmony between peoples.
In this spirit, the association supports development projects through awareness-raising activities and fundraising initiatives. After taking part in experiences promoted by other organizations, its members decided to create MotoForPeace, combining humanitarian goals with motorcycle expeditions.
Over the coming months, we will follow the mission’s journey and share updates from the road.
